Bohaterami filmu są ludzie zajmujący się, na różnych poziomach, naturą: naukowcy, artyści, entuzjaści z własnej perspektywy pokazują związki człowieka z planetą. Uświadamiają widza, że ludzie w nieodwracalny sposób zmienili świat, który dzielą z milionami innych gatunków.

The movie’s protagonists are scientists, artists and other enthusiasts – generally speaking, the people who, on a daily basis, are dealing with nature on various levels.  They show the relationship between man and the planet from their own perspective, making the audience aware of the fact that people have irreversibly changed the world they share with millions of other species.
